About the Webmaster

My name is Danielle and I'm a 20-year-old college student. My main interests include baseball, photography, and classic rock music. I live in a minor-league town, which I love. The Rochester Red Wings are the Triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, and my favorite thing is seeing players that I know make it up into the bigs (i.e. Francisco Liriano, Kevin Slowey, Denard Span, etc). I also enjoy watching lacrosse, especially men's. No offense to any female lacrosse players, but I like watching the action in men's more.

I'm going to be entering my junior year of college next fall as an English major. I don't know what I want to do after college, but I know that I don't want to be a teacher. Most people ask me if I want to be a teacher when I tell them I'm majoring in English, I don't know why. My favorite writers/poets are Kurt Vonnegut, Oscar Wilde, and T.S. Eliot. Some ideas I have floating around in my head as far as careers go are either joining the police force or working for a news publication. But who knows.

About This Site

First, many thanks to Anjali for hosting me and for all the help she has provided in getting this site off of the ground! Be sure to check out her photography, it's amazing.

Why 'DH Photography?' The practical answer is that my first two initials are DH, the more interesting answer is that since I'm a huge baseball fan I liked that it was related to baseball terminology (DH = Designated Hitter). So those two things combined are why I chose to name the site DH Photography.

About My Photography

I shoot with an Olympus Evolt E-410 and use either a 14-42mm or 70-300mm Zuiko lens. If you're looking for an alternative to Nikons or Canons, Olympus is a great brand. I'm just a beginner as far as this goes, so I appreciate any constructive criticism on my photos (you can email me here. Please do not ask me for any of my photos, because the answer is no. I don't mean to be a jerk, but with the internet it's hard to tell whether or not someone is going to use your work for purposes you wouldn't like (paranoid, yes, but better safe than sorry).
